Montgomery’s Coffee House
After our visit to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and checking the Refound pop-up shop out we needed to have something to drink, because we were kind off dehydrating after a two hours walk in the awesome Kelvingrove Museum.
Crime: Soy decaf cappuccino (yes, I’m for real) with a caramel shortcake aside
Scene: Montgomery’s Coffee House, 9 Radnor Street, Glasgow (near Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum)
Investigation: Thank god I’ve got awesome legs and long endurance for city trips. I never want to miss things while taking public transformation and love to explore by foot. My endeavour haha lead me to Montgomery’s.
I super love coffee, although it isn’t good for me. Caffeine works like speed for me and that ain’t good news. As much as I don’t like soy milk, I prefer rice or almond milk, I had to order a weaky cappuccino haha decaf and with soy milk with a shortcake which was too sweet. And there was a sweater one at the counter….
What I liked most was the atmosphere. The place had a relaxed cafe vibe, suitable to have a good read or work on your Macbook/iPad, surrounded by local art to buy. You need to go to the counter to make an order. Don’t like this very much, since the first thing I’d like to do after a walk is to sit down and be served. The girls at Montgomery’s did a good job though by making a good cup of coffee, keep the cafe clean and feel you at ease :)
Final score, Montgomery’s is an ideal place to have a break and plan your next to do’s for the day.
