Bakken met Passie

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! So, I treated my dear friend the Style Visitor for a birthday breakfast after a wild night out haha. My idea is to get out of my comfort zone, just like when I’m abroad and picked Bakken met Passie in another area of town as THE joint to start the day. Why?

Hello, look at the pictures. You are absolutely crazy if you don’t enter this bakery. We started our day with a boyish treat. Tons of bread w/ cheeses, orange juice and tea. Yep we finished it all…

Crime: all in breakfast
Scene:
Bakken met Passie, Albert Cuypstraat 51-53  1072 CM Amsterdam
Investigation:
The place was crowded with locals and tourists who where tasting all the ooh’s and aah’s. Loved all the parents doing grocery shopping with their kids and let them pick the breads out and some sweets.

What I find most awesome is the whole sphere created by the people working at Bakken met Passie (Baking with Passion). They welcomed you in a sincere way and were ready to help you with what you were looking for, because they have quite a lot. Such as a great variety of bread, pastries, quiches, pies and home made jam served and sold in a place where it’s very ‘gezellig’ (cosy, warm).

The people there even help you out packing your stuff and put them in your buggy or your shopping cart. Like we were living in a little town like in Chocolat with Binoche and Depp. Something I miss in Amsterdam, where most of us is living in our own world doing everything in full speed. Some greengrocers and butchers still do a great job by knowing your name, advise you and sometimes know what you need.

If you want to start out your day with a positive vibe, go to Bakken met Passie for your first meal of the day. Their website is uhm, just a page and doesn’t look representative for what they sell. Trust my pics and visit! haha

Bonjour!
