Unfortunately I couldn’t find pasteleria’s which were open during the siesta. I totally forgot about the Spanish nap hour when I was at my most active haha But if you have the chance try and get some home made almond cookies!

Or these babies from Dulceria Nublo - Tejeda, Gran Canaria. A delicious and very crumbly almond cookie.  Available at a store called Artesanos del Almibar in Santa Cruz which looked legit to me. The place has a large assortment of sweets and other goods from the Canary Islands ( Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and Gran Canaria) made from their local products such as almonds, honey and banana.
