Saramago Cafe - Let’s go vegan

I used to spend tons of money on shopping. Looking for limited edition stuff like bags, sneakers etcetera. Still love beautiful things which enriches my life, but instead of shopping like a retard I rather check out art, let it inspire me and spend more monies on delicious food. The Centre for Contemporary Arts had most of my favourites. Jewelery made by local artists, prints by local graphic designers, art and a lovely cafe called Saramago.

Tropical Fruits by Seellie Silly

I miss the tropics so much and thought this could get me in the mood. Stumbled upon these fruits via Howkapow while looking for inspiration to decorate my office, which I need to share with two guys from next Monday haha. Love this idea from Seelie Silly where the artist used a few figures to create a bigger one. The Durian makes me long for one right now. It stinks, yet it rocks. One of the best fruits ever!

Digging in the crates

I’ve been receiving weekly surprise crates from dekrat since June. An ideal concept for people who don’t have a lot of time going to the market, yet love to be introduced with old school local seasonal vegetables and fruit or are bored with same assortment of the regular supermarkets. Strawberries all year long? Doesn’t look right…

Starting with a vegetarian crate for five weeks, followed by a meat-eater crate. The vegetarian crates made me very creative, but had to please Nalden too. Quoting him: Ambar, I’m not a %*&( rabbit!
I received some recipes with each crate, but love to be creative if I have the time, so I’d like to share some quick ideas. No measurements, just to make it easy ;)

Foodzy

I got introduced with Dutch start up  Foodzy back in April 2011 and the platform didn’t look as cute as now. Honestly, I was sceptic using this platform because it’s so personal. This is why… Foodzy helps you to keep track what you eat. Noooo… You guys know that I love to share my favourite places to eat and what to cook for dinner, but not how much calories I eat a day hahah confronting, since my life is about enjoying what you eat.

Not that I’m unhealthy! I love to run, love eating vegetables, don’t eat a lot of meat, skipped candy and cookies with additives, went all natural and try to eat less carbs especially avoid refined if I can.

Now I’ve change my mind, because of Foodzy’s uber creative video and the concept! I respect the positive mind state they had during the Next Web conference back in April. Heads up for their progress and I love supporting locals. Farmers, cheese makers, chefs, bakers, start ups and iPhone/iPad App developers!

Bring it on friends and let’s have a look who’s the healthiest ;) Visit their awesome website and download their app. Oh wait, Pro account haha Foodzy could you hook me up with one to test?

Sunday Up Market

This market is also one of the markets of all markets! Friends told me (again) not to eat before visiting the Sunday Up Market. What they didn’t tell me was that you shouldn’t eat cupcakes on an empty stomach haha. Well, what to expect? All cuisines you can imagine!
