Egg in the basket?

How do you call it anyway? I found a dozen of names for this egg in toast. Here’s a quick how-to in just three images. The images say enough, right? First, use a scone cutter to make a whole in your favorite bread (I used sourdough bread), heat a non - stick frying pan with awesome olive oil, toast your slice of bread and gently pour your egg into the hole. You can put a lid on the pan if you don’t have the patience to cook the egg. Like to have your egg yolk soft? Just keep an eye on the pan. When it’s ready (egg white cooked please) season, serve it with lettuce, your favorite chutney or organic truffle mayonaise. Ideal for your DIY breakfast and brunch!

Eureka!

Made my first succesfull poached egg for breakfast.

Heat a pan with water until it’s boiled, add some vinegar and salt. Turn down the heat. Stir the water with a whisk and gently crack an egg in the middle of the pan. You can see the miracle happening! Awesome.

Don’t cook the egg to long (3 minutes) if you want a soft boiled egg. Serve with steamed chard with awesome olive oil and sea salt.

How to boil an Egg
I can easily make dishes up etcetera, but somehow manage to mess my boiled eggs. So this one is for you guys out there and for me hahah
1. Boil water in a pan.
2. Make a hole in the egg with a pin. Where? The bottom if you hold the pointy side up.
3. Put the eggs on a spoon in the pan before the water is boiling. You can see little bubbles in the bottom of the pan and the water begins to steam.  Be careful!
4. Start looking at your watch!
5. For soft boiled eggs where you can dip your toast in- cook for 3 or 4 minutes
For semi-hard boiled eggs - cook 5 or 6 minutes
For hard boiled eggs for on bread or in salads - cook 8 minutes
Good luck!
(this sandwich is made with semi-hard boiled eggs, carrots, mayonaisse and chives yummy)
