A Perfect Day with pizza leaves and sausages

Yesterday I went to the launch of the A Perfect Day drawings show to give some heads up for the curator Olga and the Non- Fiction crew who helped the organization out and made this happen. I’m bomb rushed with digital stuff and think this event is awesome. A very cool off line experience which I recommend you to visit. The show will be held at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam from the 10th until the 24th of February 2012.

Shopping bags!

I thought I lost this awesome bag until I found it in my storage closet. In 2008 I received this hilarious bag from Sixten a Montreal based graphic designer who worked with Nalden at a creative agency. This bag made me smile and most of the people who saw me using this cotton bag instead of plastic grocery bags. Watch me going green haha

Photographer Massimo Gammacurta’s edible icon lollipops project got a lot of attention on the internets. The New York based photographer has worked for publications and brands before, which mos def inspired him to make sweets out of the brand logo’s. The Burgermat Show

Last week I visited London for bizz and for some good cuisine. Was walking in Shoredich to check some galleries out who’d like to contribute to our start up Kuvva and passed by Beach London. A shop slash gallery which exhibits graphic design from upcoming talents.

My weakness lies in the fact that I love buying prints of eye candy. So, this time I already decided to leave the shop without supporting illustrators. During a chat I had with someone from Beach, a pile of Burgermats caught my eye. I recognized them from an awesome project, our partner D showed me via Prote.in last month, where the love for art and burgers became one a.k.a. lovely curated place mats! And yes, I bought them to ‘decorate’ my kitchen haha Check Beach out and I know they’d give you a smile on your face.

P.S.: If you’re an illustrator or photographer and would like to be featured on Kuvva, please contact me and we’ll check your portfolio out :)

Mr. Steve Jobs R.I.P.

How is this food related huh? Apple, duh haha

The first Apple logo was designed by Jobs and Wayne inspired by Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree. My favorite one is the Rainbow Apple designed by Rob Janoff now replaced by a next level monochromatic silver Apple.

This one is for Mr.Jobs vision and his team. Thanks for making our work more fun with your innovative products. Being able to blog and run a business from my iPhone, iPad and iMac is just awesome!

ps: this blog is posted via the Tumblr App from my iPhone…
